Leadership

More Than Four Decades at the Intersection of Policy, Infrastructure, and Transportation
Chris Brady is the President of US-Japan Infrastructure Advisors, a U.S.-owned and U.S.-chartered advisory firm that represents the transportation technologies of Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central) in the United States.
With more than 40 years of experience in federal public works, infrastructure policy, and transportation strategy, Brady brings a depth of knowledge that spans the full arc of modern American infrastructure development — from the landmark legislation of the 1990s through the advanced rail and maglev debates of the 2000s and the contemporary push for transportation modernization.
Brady played a central role in the development of the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA-21), the surface transportation authorization that not only reshaped federal infrastructure investment but also established the federal maglev program that would eventually bring U.S. interest in advanced Japanese rail technology into formal policy consideration.
His career has been characterized by a consistent focus on the relationship between infrastructure investment and long-term economic competitiveness — and by a conviction that the United States must look beyond incremental improvements and toward proven, transformative technologies when addressing its most critical transportation challenges.
Through USJIA, Brady brings this perspective to the work of representing JR Central's Shinkansen and SCMAGLEV technologies to the policymakers, planners, and investors who will determine whether America seizes the opportunity that proven Japanese high-speed rail now presents.
